Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi are scheduled to miss the GT20 Canada
For next franchise competitions, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is probably going to deny the NoCs of a number of all-format and centrally contracted players, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan.
Young fast bowler Naseem Shah was been denied a NoC by the PCB for the 2024 season of The Hundred. The PCB rejected Naseem Shah, a young fast bowler, an NOC in the middle of July.
The speedster will not be able to play for Birmingham Phoenix in the forthcoming Men's The Hundred 2024 season as a result of the ruling.
Similarly, several sources suggest that the PCB intends to prohibit centrally contracted players, including Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan, from participating in the Global T20 League Canada in 2024.
The cricket boardwishes to limit the effort of their senior players ahead of a hectic upcoming calendar for Pakistan, even though neither The Hundred 2024 nor the Global T20 League Canada 2024 are expected to collide in any international cricket matches for Pakistan.
The current plan is for the Pakistan cricket team to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in August. The 2023–25 WTC cycle will include the matches as well.
Additionally, Pakistani players competed in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA, losing to both the USA and India in the first round of the competition.
