Pat Cummins said after his Hattrick in the T20 World Cup, "The Best Thing Is I'm Not Captain."

Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia in the Test and ODI formats, has stated that all of their "bases are covered" in the current 2024 T20 World Cup and is relishing every moment of his game because he is no longer responsible for leading his team in the shortest format.

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa returned with clean figures of 2/24 to restrict Bangladesh to a below-par 140/8 in their opening encounter of the Super 8 round, while Cummins claimed the first hattrick of the T20 extravaganza en route to his 3/29 spell.

Australia triumphed by 28 runs through the DLS technique to maintain their undefeated record in the tournament after five straight victories. Veteran opener David Warner spearheaded the chase with his second fifty of the competition.

In all honesty, we've pretty much completed everything we set out to do thus far. Ultimately, it was a pretty polished performance, which is kind of what you want in the Super Eights," T20 captain Cummins, who was replaced by Mitchell Marsh, stated in the media after the game.

We believe we have everything covered. Yes, we'll definitely show up there. The best part of it all is that I'm not a captain or selector or anything, so I just show up and don't have to worry," the Australia captain who won the World Cup in both the ODI and WTC tournaments continued.

"Two points, of course, but also to achieve a high run rate. And it seems like almost everyone has played a game thus far in the tournament."

Australia has surpassed India in the Group 1 Super 8s standings, thanks to a higher net run-rate; India defeated Afghanistan with relative ease.

He expressed faith in the players' adaptability and acknowledged the team's willingness to change and use various individuals. We've been quite transparent about the fact that any member of the team is fit to participate, and that lineups for bowling, hitting, and batting order are subject to change at any time. It needs to be flexible.
