Rohit Sharma has been absolutely phenomenal, according to Jasprit Bumra

Leading Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah lavished compliments on captain Rohit Sharma, stating that the 37-year-old is phenomenal.

Rohit Sharma now stands as the third-highest run scorer in the T20 World Cup 2024. He played in seven matches and scored 248 runs at a strike rate of 155.97.

In a video posted to the ICC's official Instagram account, Bumrah claimed that Rohit showed a lot of initiative during the previous ODI World Cup 2023. According to Bumrah, the Indian captain allowed his players a great deal of latitude.

"Rohit Sharma has been absolutely phenomenal. As you may recall from the last World Cup, he shown initiative, giving his players plenty of leeway to express themselves.

At the appropriate moment, he talks about his personal experience during the game. So yeah, it feels really good, and I'm pleased to be playing under him, and the group has a lot of confidence," Bumrah remarked.

India and South Africa have both had rather different tournament runs. The team captained by Rohit Sharma has dominated every team they have faced in the competition, including formidable opponents like Australia, Pakistan, and England.
