Rohit Sharma shares his true feelings for the first time since winning the T20 World Cup

Since taking over as captain of the Indian squad in late 2021, Rohit Sharma's tenure has been distinguished by his unshakable commitment to guide the group to an ICC title.

Rohit persevered in his quest for greatness in the face of numerous heartaches and near-misses, including a crushing loss to Australia in the final of a domestic ODI World Cup almost six months ago.

His perseverance and leadership ultimately paid off on June 29 of this year, when India triumphed magnificently and lifted the T20 World Cup trophyin Barbados following a nail-biting final against South Africa.

Sunday night, Rohit shared a picture of himself lying down at the Kensington Oval, presumably soaking up the moment, expressing his feelings as best he could with words given the magnitude of the triumph at the time.

"This photo captures exactly how I'm feeling at the moment. I have so many words, but I'm at a loss for how to put into words what yesterday meant to me. Still, I will, and I will share them, but for now, I'm living the dream that a billion people have realized," Rohit wrote.
