Sahil Chauhan, an Estonian cricket player, hits the fastest century in T20 history against Cyprus.
Sahil Chauhan, an Estonian cricket player, broke the record for the fastest century in Twenty20s on Monday during his team's six-wicket victory over Cyprus at Episkopi.
Playing in his fourth Twenty20 International, the 32-year-old at Happy Valley Ground reached triple figures in just 27 deliveries, concluding unbeaten on 144.
During his 41-ball barrage, which also set a T20I record, Chauhan blasted 18 sixes, enabling Estonia to chase the 192-run goal with 42 deliveries remaining.
Nepal's Kushal Malla broke the record in September 2023 when he scored a century off of just 34 balls. But five months later, against Nepal itself, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton of Namibia broke this record with a century off 33 balls.
Chauhan outperformed them both on Monday, scoring an incredible century in just 27 balls.
