The USA senior and U-19 women's teams have selected Hilton Moreeng as their head coach
The head coach of the senior and U-19 women's teams for the United States of America is Hilton Moreeng, a former women's coach from South Africa. She succeeded Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
After playing for the South African team for over 11 years, Moreeng's contract expired in March. Moreeng oversaw South Africa's historic run to the 2023 T20 World Cup final, where they were defeated by Australia, when he was on the national squad.
"I am thrilled to join USA Cricket and eager to collaborate with both current players and emerging talent," Moreeng stated. "My objective is to systematically assemble a competitive team that can compete with the world's top women's cricket teams.
By working together, we hope to develop an excellence and achievement-focused culture within USA Cricket and provide the foundation for future success on the global scene."
Starting with the U-19 Women's World Cup in 2025, Moreeng's job may be eliminated as the men's squad is now proving their value. They have a great opportunity to advance to the next round thanks to the tournament.
