Ben Stokes, an all-around player for England, created history on Thursday when he became the first player from England and just the third player overall to reach 6,000 runs and capture over 200 wickets in a Test match.
With this incredible accomplishment, Stokes confirms his place among the greatest all-rounders in cricket history by joining the exclusive ranks of Jacques Kallisand Garry Sobers.
By getting rid of hitter Kirk McKenzie in his opening over of the first Test match at Lord's against the West Indies, Stokes achieved his 200th Test wicket.
Stokes has amassed 6,320 runs at an average of 35.30 in 103 Test matches, with 13 hundreds and 31 fifties. He has also claimed 200 wickets.
Garry Sobers amassed 8,032 runs and 235 wickets in 93 Tests, while Jacques Kallis amassed 13,289 runs and 292 wickets in 166 Tests. His highest score was 258.
In addition, Stokes is the first player from England to reach a double of 10,000 runs and 300 wickets in an international match. He is also ranked sixth overall.
