Bids are Again invited for floodlights and parapets construction at T.U

Earlier, the bids called for the installation of floodlights were canceled twice. Bids have been invited again to construct floodlights and parapets at the Tribhuvan University (T.U) cricket ground.

The Management Office under the Ministry of Urban Development has invited bids today for international-level parapets and floodlights. The bond for parapets is 1 crore 62 lakhs, and for floodlights, 1 crore 73 lakhs has been fixed. A fee of Rs 20,000 will be charged to submit the bid. The deadline for submission of bids is 12:30 PM on January 6th. The notice mentions that the bids will be opened at 1:30 pm on the same day.

Earlier, the bids for installing floodlights were canceled twice. In the budget of the financial year 2079/80, the then finance minister Janardan Sharma allocated 20 million rupees to upgrade the level of Kirtipur Ground and proceed with the installation of floodlights.

Bids are invited again to construct floodlights and parapets at the T.U Cricket ground.

10 crores were set aside for upgrading the ground and 10 crores for installing floodlights, but 10 crores of floodlights were returned without spending.

In the budget of the financial year 2081/82, 20 million rupees have been allocated for the installation of floodlights in the T.U International Ground.
