Farewell to the Nepal U-19 Women's Asia Cup team
The ACC U-19 Women's Asia Cup Cricket, which will begin in Malaysia next week, has seen the Nepali team wave farewell.
To say goodbye to the team, the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN)held a program at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday.
There will be an U19 Women's Asia Cup starting on December 15.Group B includes India, Pakistan, and Nepal. Nepal will play their first matches against India and Pakistan on December 16 and 17, respectively. Group A includes hosts Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Each group's top two teams advance to the Super Four.
CAN working committee member Ayush Shrestha said that the Nepali U19 women's team is also going to play in the U19 T20 World Cup and the U19 Asia Cup will be a preparation for that. We get to play with teams like India and Pakistan in the U19 Asia Cup. We will get an opportunity to get exposure in that.
Shrestha said that the Nepali youth team has proved itself by winning the title of the U19 World Cup Asia Qualifiers and qualifying for the World Cup and is confident that they will perform well in the upcoming matches as well.
Likewise, Mahesh Prasad Rizal, the head coach of the U19 women's national team, said that they are well prepared for the U19 Asia Cup and will perform well.
Likewise, Pooja Mahato, captain of the U19 women's team, expressed her belief that the camp was good and that she will perform well in the U19 Asia Cup.
