We were feeling 140–150 at one point, and as the game progressed, Surya and I scored some runs in the middle. After we established that partnership, we declared another 25 runs," Rohit stated.
We know the situation well and we bat well, so we knew we would score well, and that's precisely what happened. We reached 170, which on that pitch I felt was a really good score, and the bowlers were outstanding," he continued.
The result of the IND vs. ENG quarterfinal match increased India's winning run in T20Is to 11, spanning from December 2023 to June 2024. The previous record for India was 12 victories between November 2021 and February 2022. South Africa leads the T20 World Cup 2024 with eight victories, followed by India with seven.
