Janakpur Bolt's became champions taking revenge against Sudurpaschim. By taking revenge on Sudurpaschim of the league stage and qualifier one, Janakpur became victorious in the final ofNepal Premiere League (NPL). Janakpur Bolts have won the title of the first edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL). After Lahiru Milantha scored 87 runs in the high 'scoring' game, Janakpur completed the target of 185 runs given by Sudurpaschim by losing 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare.
Janakpur became the champion by taking revenge for the defeat against Sudurpaschim in the league stage and qualifier one in the final. Before the final, Janakpur captain Asif Sheikh said that he would play good cricket in the final. As he said, whoever played better cricket in the final won.
Although runs were spent in bowling at the beginning, Janakpur came back and restricted Sudurpaschim to 184 runs and won the match with excellent batting. Milantha batted brilliantly in the final to make Janakpur the champion. He scored 87 runs with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes while playing 49 balls. Milantha and captain Asif Shaikh shared 73 runs for the first wicket. Asif scored 33 runs by hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in 19 balls before being dismissed in the last ball of the seventh over.
Similarly,Harshak Thacker added 30 unbeaten runs. Thacker played 24 balls and hit 2 sixes. Mohammad Mohsin who came to bat in one down scored 9 runs and got out. Jimmy Neesham was out for 4 and Akash Tripathi for 2 runs. Mayan Yadav, who scored the winning run, remained unbeaten in 2 runs.
Scott Kuggeleijn, captain Dipendra Singh Airee, Saif Ali Zaib, and Ishan Pandey took 1 wicket each in bowling.
