Rashid Khan Reacts to Afghanistan is accused of 'cheating' following a recorded act
Afghanistan perhaps the most significant day in their cricket history on Tuesday. The group captained by Rashid Khan overcame Bangladesh to eliminate Australia and earn a spot in the T20 World Cup semi-final for the first time ever.
But there was one incident that appeared to ruin Afghanistan's entire celebration. It happened as Trott motioned for his team to slow down, and Gulbadin Naib suddenly collapsed on his back, holding his leg.
However, a few minutes later, the all-round player returned to the pitch and proceeded to remove Tanzim Hasan from the game, raising doubts among several former players and pundits about the sincerity of his discomfort.
Rashid Khan, the captain of Afghanistan, however, tried to downplay the event.
"Well, he had some cramp, I don't know what happened to him and I don't know what's going on in social media but that doesn't matter - it's just the end field injury which comes and then we haven't lost any overs, the rain came and we just went off, it's not something like brought a massive difference in the game," Rashid Khan stated.
"After five minutes, we returned to the field, and nothing had changed much. For me, it's similar to getting a minor injury you simply need to take some time off."
