Rohit Sharma and his team meet PM Modi and have Victory parade in Mumbai
The Indian cricket team, captained by Rohit Sharma, arrived in Delhi on July 4th, having lifted the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 trophy in Barbados on June 29th.
Upon arrival at the ITC Maurya Hotel, the players were welcomed with a specially prepared breakfast provided by the hotel. They then departed to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his home. They arrived at Delhi airport, according to the most recent information, and will now travel to Mumbai for the victory parade.
Fans gathered outside the ITC Maurya and Delhi airport in the morning to get a peek of their favorite cricket players. They had arrived in New Delhi from the Caribbean to the cries of "India, India" from the crowds.
They visit PM Narendra Modiand then go on an open bus trophy tour across Mumbai before attending a BCCI felicitation celebration at Wankhede Stadium.
The Wankhede Stadium's felicitation celebration is free of charge for supporters of the Indian squad, subject to availability. The Wankhede Stadium will open its gates at 4 p.m.
