Spinner Ravi Bishnoi explains the cause of India's first T20I defeat to Zimbabwe
Spinner Ravi Bishnoi of India claimed after his team's 13-run loss to Zimbabwe in the opening T20 International that their lack of partnerships was what determined the outcome of the match.
After the game, Bishnoi stated that the Indian hitters may have won if they had put together a 20–30 run stand when chasing.
"We gave up. One factor was the absence of collaborations. The story would have been different if we could have partnered for 20 or 30 runs, Bishnoi stated.
He continued by saying that after the elders assigned them the duty, it is their duty to take on the role of flag bearer. They're doing their best, he continued.
"The seniors handed the responsibility to us and it is our responsibility to take the flag ahead, we are trying our best," he stated.
The Men in Blue's captain Shubman Gillwas the lone exceptional batter during the run chase. But upon chasing, the visitors had no partner.
Washington Sundar contributed a supporting role as well, but it was unable to win the match as they were bowled out for 102 in 19.5 overs.
