Nepal limits South Africa's run score to 115
Sent to bat first, Nepal's Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee impressed with the ball but the Group D leaders found it difficult to string points together.
Quinton de Kock, the opener, scored ten runs off of eleven deliveries until Airee dismissed him after 3.4 overs.
After that, Bhurtel dismissed South Africa's skipper Aiden Markram for a 22-ball 15 in 11.2 overs, and immediately after, Heinrich Klaasen was caught for a cheap three by Karan KC.
Tristan Stubbs arrived and scored a century and a half off just eighteen balls. Within the final two balls of the innings, Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen were out of the game.
The two spinners for Nepal that stood out were Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee. These bowlers shared all seven wickets between them. While Airee took home three, Bhurtel secured four.
After losing to the Netherlands by one run, leaving 116 runs on the board against the Proteas, Nepal had one more chance to defeat the test-playing nations.
