Legendary cricketer Brian Lara arrived in Nepal
The famous cricketer Brian Larahas arrived in Nepal. He arrived in Nepal on Friday morning. CAN officials welcomed him at Tribhuvan Airport.
He came to Nepal to watch the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) in Kathmandu. Lara, who came to Nepal with her daughter, will stay in Nepal for 3 days.
West Indies cricketer Lara is the most famous Test cricketer. There is a record of scoring 400 runs not out in one innings in Test cricket.
The 55-year-old Lara has scored more than 10,000 runs in both ODI and Test cricket.
Earlier, while congratulating the Nepali cricket team on their selection for the T20 World Cup last year, he said that he wanted to come to Nepal.
Shortly after Nepal qualified for the World Cup, he praised the Nepali team in a tweet conversation with a Nepali cricket fan.
Then he tweeted that the game of the Nepali team was miraculous and said that he was impressed just by watching the game in Bermuda.
Lara has scored nearly 12,000 runs in 131 Tests for the West Indies and has scored more than 10,000 runs in 299 ODIs.
He also won the 2004 Champions Trophy for West Indies. He is known by the nickname 'The Prince' in the cricket world.
