Nepal Premier League will be held in November and December by CAN
It has been decided by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)to hold the Nepal Premier League in November and December of this year.
The nation's cricket governing body made the decision to hold the league in order to put an end to concerns over the survival of the Nepal T20 League. This franchise competition pay disputes and a match-fixing scandal had tainted.
Also, Apsari Begam, a member of the Nepal women's cricket squad, was suspended by CAN "for violating associations' code of conduct." Begam allegedly misbehaved with the manager and coach of the national women's cricket team during the ACC Women's T20 Asia Cup closed camp, according to CAN. CAN also delegated to its disciplinary committee the task of conducting additional research.
The Nepal T20 League will continue, according to CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, who spoke with the post.
Restoring Sandeep Lamichhaneto the central contract was another decision made by CAN.
Because Lamichhane was a leg spinner facing a trial for raping a female, he was left out of the central contract that was announced in February.
After being exonerated of all counts of rape by the Patan High Court in May, Lamichhane's suspension was lifted for the second time.
