The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)said goodbye to the Nepalese women's cricket team today (Saturday) as they get ready to play the Sri Lanka Women's Development Squad in the lead-up to the ACC Women's Asia Cup.
In Surrey Village, Maggona, Nepal will play three T20 matches against the Sri Lanka Development Squad.
The goal of this journey is to aid the Nepalese team in acclimating to the local environment and climate. On July 19, 2024, the Women's Asia Cup will get underway in Sri Lanka.
On July 9, the first match will happen, while the second match will follow the following day. Before playing the final Twenty20 match on July 16, the Nepalese squad will have five days of preparation at Colts and Moore.
Nepal will compete in the Women's Asia Cup for the third time. They competed in the 2012 and 2016 competitions and are making a comeback after an eight-year break.
On July 19, Nepal will take on the UAE in their opening tournament match. Nepal, India, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates are in Group A.
