Chitwan Rhinos Secure Commanding Five-Wicket Victory Over Kathmandu Gurkhas

Chitwan Rhinos experienced a convincing victory against Kathmandu Gurkhas, defeating them by five wickets in the 2nd match of the 2024-25 Nepal Premier League at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground. The team chose to bowl first and their bowlers, led by Sohail Tanvir (5 wickets for 21 runs), bowled out the Kathmandu Gurkhas for 111 in 19. 4 overs. Capturing the best batting score for Kathmandu were Sumit Maharjan (29) and Michael Levitt (25). 

Chitwan lost their first 3 wickets to the impressive Shahab Alam, however, a steady partnership between Santosh Karki (28*) and Sharad Vesawkar  (11*) led the team to a successful target knock of 111 in 17.1 overs, finishing with 5 wickets in hand.

Sohail Tanvir's outstanding bowling performance earned him the Player of the Match award, while also helping Rhinos maintain their undefeated to begin the tournament!
