Janakpur Bolts Win Karnali Yaks by Eight Wickets in NPL
Janakpur Bolts claimed victory over Karnali Yaks by eight wickets in the third game of the Nepal Premier League at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground. Following a won toss and choosing to field, the Bolts kept the Yaks to a lowly 141 for 7. Gulsan Jha top scored with 36, while Arjun Gharti batting at number 7 added depth to the Yaks' batting by scoring 33. The most economical of the Bolts' bowlers were Mohammad Mohsin (2 for 14) and Lalit Rajbanshi (1 for 16), keeping the run rate down throughout the Yaks innings.
In reply, the Bolts' chase was led by Captain Anil Sah's terrific innings of 62 runs from 42 balls. Sah was supported by Aasif Sheikh's 36 runs. The Bolts achieved their target of 142 runs in 15.1 overs, with Sah taking the Player of the Match award for his patient innings after losing the toss and taking to the field.
