Karnali Yaks Reveals Nepal Premier League Team Uniform
Himalayan Builders and Engineers-owned Karnali Yaks officially unveiled their team jersey for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at an event, which was held on Friday at Hotel Hilton. The jersey reflects the natural landscape and culture of the region with motifs like the mountains of the region, blue hues of Rara and Shey-Phoksundo lakes, and a yak as the region's symbol.
Marquee player Sompal Kami and actor Swastima Khadka, the 'Face of the Team,' unveiled the jersey. Ex-Deputy Prime Minister and Sport Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, owner of Karnali Yaks Jhanka Datt Khanal, co-owner Grihendra Ghimire, Secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Paras Khadka, CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama, coach Gyanendra Malla, and a few other players were present on the occasion.
Next, Minister Khadka wished the team luck and declared Karnali Yaks would inspire people to travel through the Himalayan landscapes and sacred destinations like Kailash Mansarovar tied to Karnali. He also appreciated Paras Khadka for uniting business and the government in the interest of promoting cricket.
The team's squad includes national players Gulshan Kumar Jha, Dev Khanal, and Nandan Yadav in the 'A' category; Arjun Gharti, Rit Gautam, Mausam Dhakal, and Bhuban Karki in 'B'; and Dipendra Rawat, Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri, and Dipak Dumre in 'C'.
